Ah well, don't worry Scurla, the mighty PPV of UFC 78 is approaching with the epic showdown of Bisping-Evans, I'm sure that will get your fires burning again for such an extravaganza!

I wont be watching. Its just another UFN to me.I may catch the replay or the result. The UFC`s are becoming very uninteresting to me.Even the K1 is presented better.

It's a shame Pride is gone. What I hate most about UFC is the repetitiveness, (AND ITS ALL OVER!) and the "WWE" atmosphere, among other things.
Also, why are they fighting in that Octagon? A ring makes more sense due to the fact it has corners. It creates more action, instead of boring circling.

    ^^^^^

Thats very true, for a long time I've held the belief that for some reason the square shape of a ring creates more action and a fight in a ring has a certain flow to it. The octaganol shape of the octagon does not create that exciting rhythm, I'm not really sure why this is the case but from what Ive seen appears true.

I have to take issue with the UFC having a more wrestling like feel than Pride, Pride felt much more like a pro wrestling event with the huge entrances and elaborate stages.

The upsets that have happened have hurt the UFC a bit.

All the big showdowns one by one dissapear when the big names lose to guys they're expected to beat.

I mean Chuck Wanderlei should be exciting but it's not because of their recent losses. CroCop fell of the radar in the most spectacular fashion. Shogun lost, arlovski has turned ****, Randy's gone, Fedor is in limbo, Tim Silvia is still around.

ALso boxing is having a good year and I find myself looking at boxing websites more than MMA ones again.

The thing what bothers me a little bit is when the UFC aquired Pride (which pissed me off anyway) I thought that the octagon would be filled with higher skilled more complete professional fighters. But that does not seem to be the case. The UFC's biggest excitment generator of late seems to be a big fat rookie from WWE.

Yeah the UFC is starting to bore me slightly they wanna build Serra-Hughes and Wanderlei-Chuck into a gigantic extraveganza and to me its not Hughes got a title shot he arguablly doesnt deserve vs a reality show guy who got lucky and its true he got lucky vs GSP. Liddell-Silva is crazy big LAST YEAR not now they both have been dominated in their last 2 fights each its lost so much luster its a dream match cause they where 2 great fighters they are no longer at that elite level.

The reason why the UFC ****ed up with PRIDE is because they picked who they thought were hot tickets.Make sense but the problem is they didnt include any of the quality mainstays from PRIDE.There was a whole bunch of B and C level guys who would simply give you great bouts and matchups in PRIDE.There no where to be seen now and are busy fighting for other orgs.

UFC is ****ing up right now with some of these PPVs the main event next weekend is ****ing sorry but the rest of the card should be fun but belong on free cable TV. Why does Mir-Lesnar have to be the main event on Superbowl weekend and we have another PPV card in January with Gonzaga-Wedrum 2 along with Stevenson-Penn but those 3 on a single card and u got good **** you got this College Wrestling phenom with so much potential getting a huge test vs Frank Mir, A tasty TASTY war ready for the Lightweight interm Championship along with a big rematch that puts the winner in the UFC Heavyweight title contention. Why is going to be split up and charged for 80 bucks maybe even more I heard UFC might raise prices. Its bull**** Pride would put 5-6 main event fights on a single ****ing card how about last years Grand Prix final with Alex Emelinenko vs Kharitnov,Arona vs Overeem,Shoguns return,Wanderlei vs Cro Cop,Barnett vs Nogueria and Barnett vs Cro Cop. The UFC 77 undercard sucked why not combine that with 76 having Liddell-Jardine,Shogun-Griffin,Fitch-Sanchez,Sylvia-Vera and Franklin-Silva 2 on one card people would have no choice but to buy these events. Instead of us spending 40 a month we could spend 40 6-7 months of the year and the UFC probablly wouldnt lose money because theyd get double the PPV buys.

Because Dana is trying to make money and fast. You can fool some of the people some of the time but not all of the time. I have no intention of buying any of those cards in the slightest. And iv been an MMA fan since the early days..

I wont buy this next card not a chance. I work hard for my money and refuse to waste it ill just download the fights I wanna see cause to me the "main event" is worthy of prelimnary status. Might buy the end of the year PPV just because of Liddell-Silva they are past it but I envison a violent Liddell KO in 1. Wanna see Penn-Stevenson so will buy that but I wont buy the Superbowl card just for Mir-Lesnar im not a ****ing idiot and Dana is taking my money unless the card has another good fight like Couture-Nogueria if he accepts it.

You watched Sean Sherk and never complained. You watched Phil Baroni and never complained.**** it you watched Ken Shamrock and NEVER complained. What is your point? Let me guess all PRIDE fighters are on steroids right? :patsch I guess the result differs for you when one fighter YOU presume is clean right? Either way it makes no diffrence.Your opinion is baseless.

Well thats at once true but also a bit of a trivial arguement.
You can't really argue that Pride cards weren't better than UFC cards.

The vast majority of UFC cards have 1 good fight and the rest are 'meh'
Prides were jam packed with great fights and great fighters nearly every time.
I want to buy about 15-20 Pride DVD's and would definitley splash down my money on them, I don't even know where to begin in listing all the great cards to get.

I could only see myself buying some compilation UFC DVD's.

I think the biggest issue is that UFC has a ppv every month meaning that really great fighters and really great matches have to be seperate and spaced apart while Pride had PPV's every 2 or 3 months and had PPV's absolutley jam packed full of great fights and fighters, also the long time between cards gave them a special event type feel, especially for the GP's.
