Awesome avatar. ===================== Grant does look in pretty good shape, and seems he has been training hard. He knows this is a great oppurtunity for him to power boost himself right back up to the top of the HW division, so you can bet yourself he will do what he can. Big guy with big power, I wonder what his speed looks like. Not a give me fight for Adamek as some people are saying. An upset cannot be ruled out when such size and power comes into play.. all it takes is one shot. But that is really Grants only hope is a KO, he won't outpoint Adamek. I take Adamek to win, though, and hopefully without any surprises.
It's called 'being in shape', but I understand it's a strange and scary concept for a lot of heavyweights. Has no-one seen Grant before? He was always a bag of muscles but flat and lean, not puffed up like basketballs, with a actual waist instead of the spare tyre guys like Arreola carry around. Look, here's a snap from his last fight when he was 257: This content is protected Slap a t-shirt on him and you'd get pretty much as he looked in this presser. It's possible he may have dropped a little as the training camp sounds like it went very well, but 240-245...? No chance. Grant always kept himself in very good-to-great shape even when toiling away in the 'indies'. Seems too many heavyweights these days can't even be bothered to turn up in great shape for the biggest fights of their careers. He may well lose this fight but at least he's shown the pride in himself and respect for the sport to not turn up as a tub of lard.
This is probably the first time that Adamek will be fighting as a heavyweight against an opponent who is actually in truly good shape.
