I rate him higher than Joe C. He took on much better competition than Calzaghe for a much longer period of time. In fact, I'd say Hopkins is comfortably inside the top 50 ever while I have Joe somewhere MAYBE in the top 100. His best wins unfortunately came at the tail end of his career and was against other past their prime fighters.

I get that he beat Hopkins (I thought he clearly beat Bernard,) but that doesn't mean much as far as their overall legacies. Saddler beat Willie Pep a bunch of times but I don't know anyone that rates Sandy over Pep.

 

Whats funny about a 51 year old man getting punched out of the ring?. Nobody was laughing when it happened to Louis.
