Since when the **** has Carl Froch been Polish you utter ******? Oh, because he has a Polish grandfather? If we're judging guys nationalities by where ONE of their grandparents was born then the USA has barely produced a good boxer. All of your boxers are African, Italian or Mexican by your reckoning. Go on, get out of here you soppy, bitter fool.
yet again a clueless brit trying to act as if knows anything about ireland... castlewellan is in county down .. u clown:good
Lennox learnt his craft in Canada and the US. At best only the early formative years of his pro-career can be said to have been learnt in the UK. That has never been why Lewis is claimed as a British fighter. He is claimed as British fighter because he was born in Britain, spent the first twelve years of his life in Britain, returned to Britain when he became a pro and represented Britain as a pro, has duel citizenship with Britain and Canada and, most importantly of all, he chooses to be considered British.
Lennox chose to be British because there was a lot of money and recognition for boxers in the UK at that time. In his heart I think Lennox see's himself as Jamaican. He didn't look too bothered waving that Canadian flag at the Olympics which demonstrates Lennox's first loyalty was too himself which is 100% fine with me.
All who have replied to my post regarding nationality have proved my point even further. You see you Brits pick and choose what facts you bring up to prove nationality, there is no consistency in your arguments. According to Brits - Lennox Lewis, born to Jamaican parents, trained in Canada, is British. Matthew Macklin, born to Irish parents in Britain but classes himself as Irish, is also British. Ola Afolabi, born to African parents in Britain but brought up in the US, learned his craft there, is referred to as British. Kid Kalahad, born in Qatar but brought up in the UK, is British. Carl Frampton born in Northern Ireland, learned his craft in Ireland, is British. So which is it? You claim those born there but moved at an early age, those born in other countries but moved to Britain, those with no roots ethnically to any of the UK countries, those born in Britain but let it be known that they themselves do not want to be classed as Brits, and now you insecure ****s are trying to claim N. Ireland fighters too.
Such insecurity for merely pointing out the man's heritage I'm not American and I agree the US and Britain rarely produce a good fighter if we are going by nationality or ethnicity. There is no such thing as British as a nationality. It is just a term you all use to claim every decent fighter going.
I do nothing of the sort. I respect the wishes of the fighter and consider him the nationality he wants to represent. I have already made clear a few times in this thread that I will only claim Frampton as British if he comes out and say that he wants to be considered British, until then I consider him Irish.
Are you a ****** mate, being serious. NI is part of the UK, and it is for a very big reason. Read a book you bafoon.
Don't worry about americans: 90% of them are not able to find Europe in a map. 50% of them are not able to found it using googlemaps I'm from Barcelona, and people here in Catalonia is tired of being spanish... so maybe americans will have problems with it in the future. And no, Spain id not in South America
Frampton has a good chin, fights in the zone, good combinations, good power in both hands, moves well and can box as well as fight. He's good, very good. Maybe too one-paced to be the very best but only time will tell.
