Man! this magarito is one helluva fighter

i've been following cotto since 2004 and with each fight he was improving. but i didnt see his versatility until he fought zab judah and shane mosley. he showed glimses in the quintana fight too. he is probably the best fighter in the world but imho the most imrpoved at the moment without a doubt!
this guy has a pretty good defense, good lateral movement, something he never had/showed before. and his resume reads like a who who's of boxing.
and i like his willingness to fight with anyone. when i found out he was about to fight juadah i was like ."wooah" and then mosley.

however he is going to fight an extremly dangerous opponent in antonio margarito. he is even more dangerous after the williams fight, he says he has realised that this game is about throwing punches, and more punches. something he never did much against PW. cotto will probably deal with the punch output, what scares me is margarito's ability to take punches. he was walking thru cintrons punches!!! kermit is a monstrous puncher and we all saw how tony handled that power.
on top of all that, this guy is a banger. i cant wait for this fight! im not surprised mayweather, ODLH and shane avoided this guy.

if tony wins this then he is probably best welterweight in the world and should try and avenge his loss against PW

if cotto wins he goes #1 on my p4p list and should go atleast#3 on anyone elses list. and should fight PW

Yeah Cotto by TKO mid to late rounds. Margarito is very limited and can't compete on an elite level with a fighter like Cotto.

 

He didn't throw punches against PW because he was getting outboxed and beaten to the punch before he could get set.

 

Antonio Margarito has the tools to put Cotto on ***** street, but we'll see whether or not he is able to finish him. Others have failed.

I will be cheering Margarito, even though I consider both fighters true stars of Boxing.

 

If Margo wins he should fight Paul Williams again. If Cotto wins, he should fight the winner of Paul Williams vs Margarito 2!

 

the other thing that will make margarito more dangerous is that he truly feels its his time to shine. it will take alot to beat him!

 

So if Cotto wins he needs to call out Oscar and Floyd. I mean really call them out, right there in the ring.

I agree, and i think he'll call out DLH. But this version of DLH has no chance against Cotto. But **** i would have love to have seen them fight when DLH was in his prime. A ****ing war no doubt.

 

I think you may be right. Cotto may be too much for Hoya now, which is why Oscar is looking at Pac and Mora also.

 

Yeah, i cant say i would take that fight if i were in his shoes but you never know. Thats why i respect the man.
