Nah, the Povetkin of a few months ago would be a 50/50 against Whyte.

The Povetkin of five years ago would beat Whyte every day of the week and twice on Sundays.

Being forty-one and having covid explains most of what we saw last night.

Whyte stepped right into it, the punch that KOd him. It was a once in a lifetime handout. Even oliver mccall would not survive such a careless mistake. Glad to see whyte right the ship.
Povetkin can tour Russia with Kovelev now doing kareoki together, time to hang em up.
Chisora should get a title shot now finally. The way povetkin was being praised for his win, whyte should get the same praise

Oh, yeah, your Whyte will not box when he will be 41 and never will be world champion.
Praised by ppl like you in forums he will get feeed to Fury or A.J for beatup and they will beat him up till pulp.
    As old uncles beater.

You can't enforce me to praise Whyte with remacth clauses and thanks to you, I start to laugh.

Whyte is capable to beat up 41.5 y.o post covid 228 lbs boxer.
    What an achievment.

It was not a lucky punch

It was his bread and butter punch that he has been setting up, practising and throwing for 20+ years.

Fury would toy with Whyte, It would be a bigger embarrassment than his second fight with Wilder.

He was just lucky in their first fight. Nothing really changed since then

I'm 39 and I feel ancient! It's not normal to compete at the highest level of sport past 40. He had a good long career, could probably still beat some good fighters, but he should pack it in.

He used his ancient body to earn a final decent purse, sad for we boxing fans to witness the decline in him, but likely pleased his bank manager.

Thank you Mr Povetkin for the memories, but please hang those gloves up, and enjoy your wealth and stay healthy,

He won the world junior kickboxing championships in 1997, that's how long he has been competing at the top/elite level in combat sports and he's always fought with a very aggressive style and taken a ton of accumulated damage throughout his career and obviously he would've in the gym when sparring too. He's been way past his best for years but he was shot to bits for both Whyte fights and even against Hunter you could see he's declined significantly from even the version who fought AJ.
