    You know, I always thought the guy should have stayed at the lower weights and never even gone up to lightweight. But those divisions weren't easy and maybe Edwin does better and maybe he doesn't. I never thought going to 140 was going to work for him and his frame--just too big of a step.

    although his fight with Bramble, what turned that around was the jab. In just over a round he was backing Bramble up with the jab, and he started to dip to his left to try and counter with a left uppercut to Bramble stepping inside. He almost outclassed Bramble. He beat Bramble so easily and conclusively, as well as looking great against Camacho. I think the fight with ruined him was Chavez in 1987. A huge beating.

    Rosario was certainly not much better than Mancini and my "proof" is their fights vs Ramirez . I had Mancini outpointing Ramirez while Rosario only ran in their 1st fight which he "won" b/c it was in Puerto Rico and got bombed out in their rematch after badly overwhelming Ramirez, very much like Carbajal Gonzalez #1.

    It is arguable that Mancini was better than Rosario.

    Seeing as Rosario didn't have the nous to take Mancini out as Arguello did, I'm taking Mancini to outwork Rosario. 'Boom Boom' could take his licks.

    Yeah f'n right, Rosario had a natural bang but is nothing compared to Arguello as an all-round puncher, nor would he be able to withstand what was coming back at him as Alexis did. I doubt he finds the shot to take Mancini out.

    This would be like a much more competitive version of Chavez-Rosario. Mancini would outwork Rosario rather than systematically outclassing him of course.

    I see it being a come from behind knockout. I see Mancini outworking Rosario but Edwin landing the big shits regularly until Mancini can take no more.

    Rosario was a monster puncher at 135 , bigger than Arguello at that weight and more skilled than Mancini but Ray was exceptionally strong and well conditioned ... I favor Rosario by fairly early KO but if he did not get Ray early Ray could end up stopping him ...
