I thought I saw him this weekend driving around Halifax in a Lexus...

    Probably not though.

So has he announced his retirement? What is he up to? Never heard anything further following the failed attempt at a mathcup versus Danny Sheehan in Virginia earlier this year.

Kirk Johnson really wasted his talent, he could've been a lot more than just a contender who got to challenge for the WBA title.

When you show up for the biggest fight in your life in the shape that Kirk Johnson did you should consider yourself lucky to get a semi-annual thread. I like the guy but I gave up on him a long time ago.

"The whale has been harpooned." - Larry Merchant

Vitali Vs. Johnson Vitali, second round knockout. Teddy Atlas said that Johnson would knock Vitali out with one punch! LOL!

I have read/heard that Kirk Johnson has/had a really good doughnut business. Is Arreola one of his best customers?

Think that its pretty safe to assume that Kirk Johnson is done.
you could have assumed this ever a couple of years ago

Kirk Johnson was a very talented boxer. He wasted his talent. Teddy Atlas did not help him either.

I was just wondering about Kirk the other day. I think it is safe to say that if he has not made a comeback by now, he isn't going to. I would still watch if he did though.

What puzzles me is why he just doesn't announce his retirement if he is done. Why book a fight against Danny Sheehan a few months ago and then fade out of the picture? What does he do all day? Is he in Texas, training? Or is he back in Nova Scotia, just hanging out?
