    need to watch some more Mando Ramos sounds like a fighter i would enjoy.

    Mando Ramos was a huge West Coast of America star wasnt he in around the 50s or 60s?

    If Mando wasnt such a party animal he would have been an ATG. For most of his title fights he was known to Drink or do drugs the night before.
    I had the privilage of meeting him numerous times. He was a regular at the fights in the LA area Forum,Pond,Olympic auditorium. Also use to go to the Annual World Boxing Hall of Fame banquets. He was a helluva a nice guy and funny too. He eventually got sober but it was too late after his career was over. RIP Mando!

    No 60s and 70s he was finished by the mid 70s. He was the youngest fighter to win the light weight title He was a little before my time,but my Dad saw him fight live many times and was a big fan of his. He was real big in Southern California to this day many local fans still talk about him.

    Did Mando not make your top 50 lightweights Matt? I think he'd have undoubtedly been at ATG without the booze, drugs, smokes and women. He had declined badly physically (wind etc)by the time he should have been prime. Could have been really something imo.
