Who would win this battle to two of the most naturally talented, Hard Partying Fighters of all? Catchweight of 130. 15 Rounds.
................What a fight, and great matchup. You picked two of my very favorites ever. I think coming in at 130 would hurt Ramos, he was a tall fella and looked comfortable at 135. If he has trouble making weight, I like Bobby by stoppage (most likely on cuts, Ramos bled terribly). If he's fine at 130, he could very well counter Chacon to smithereens. Take a look at Ramos' fight with Kobayashi to see just how well he could dissect a world-class fighter.
When both were at thier absolute peak, Chacon was very fast & as tough as they come. Neither fighter was afraid of exchanging leather. Ramos I believe was a bit more polished and might have pulled out a split decision in this one.
I`d pick Mando to outbox Bobby if he used his jab and better legs all night and kept the fight at a distance, but if he gets lured into a brawl (which is almost a sure bet imo) though Bobby`s chances go up significantly as he will be able to land more of his own punches due to Mando being within punching range. Sal brought up the issue of cuts, but that could go either way really as Bobby was also a bleeder and could just as easily get pulled out because of a bad cut. Anyway, I`m picking Bobby to win a hard fought and closely contested fight on points in what would likely be remembered as an all-time great showdown between two of LA`s most popular combatants.
