Manfredo back at 160 ?

Sorry dude, Manfredo will suck at any weight.

 

Manfredo will be better at 160 , i agree he stands a good chance against most MWs.

 

Dude, Lacy was shot before that fight.

 

A top 5-10 guy at 160 if he can get down to it, no better IMO.

 

and lacy is still ranked no.4 at SM by the Ring Mag.

 

Hell, I think Manfredo could make it back down to 154 if he really put his mind to it. He doesn't look well-conditioned at all at 168. Moving down to 160 would certainly help, but he could be a top-10 type if he gets motivated to trim down to 154. At 160, he might be able to get some decent fights though, simply because the weight class is so weak after the top guys right now, and he's still enough of a name that it could make a fight worthwhile for someone who's cherry-picking.

I thought Lacy-Manfredo was a draw, not that it matters. More of a reflection of how far Lacy has fallen than how good Manfredo is. Manfredo is what he is - a good journeyman who's a nice guy and has a good name. I'm happy to see him make a decent career out of the sport, even if he's not the best boxer or most athletic guy in the world. I just don't want to see him in there with a world-class fighter again though.

 

Manfredo --- a good fighter , but definately not championship material at any weight.
Plain and simple --- he is just not good enough.

At 160 you have:
#1 Pavlik,
#2 Wright,
#3 Abraham,
I wouldn't argue with anyone who wanted to switch winky and Abraham, but these 3 are the top 3 and that is not debatable. There is a huge gap in talent and skill between #3 and #4. Manfredo may be able to do well against Sturm, and other guys like Lorenzo, Rubio, Ornelas, et. At 160 he could serve as a very good gate keeper. I don't think he will ever be more than that. I would like to see a rematch with Mora. I think todays version of Manfredo eats Mora alive.
