I did not know it, but apparently McKart was in negotiations with Pirog for a March 12th fight, but it fell apart over money. Now Bronco is trying to set up a FNF fight with IBO title holder Peter Manfredo. Say what you will about the 39 year old McKart, but the man is a warrior! http://www.monroenews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20110216/SPORTS/702169952
Come one now boys -- this is a great FNF main event. Also it's a bit surprising that Pirog would not offer McKart a decent amount of money!
It's a decent FNF Fight but McKart is old and has been fairly inactive over the last few years, if he got one or two wins over decent journeymen then I would have more interest in this fight. Still I would much rather see this than Sturm-Manfredo, Sturm needs to step it up the guy is no longer with Universum, why is he still going for fighters out of the top 10.
It's in Russia the budget won't be that big, my guess would be $50-75k max and I think that some American Fighters think that there is more money abroad then there actually is.
agree but honestly sturm has had a pretty good run except for hearns castillego x2, griffin x2, sylvester, gevor and lorenzo were solid 10 guys for the most part
lol.. My thoughts exactly. Manfredo is a decent fighter, but McKart is clearly over the hill and very inactive. They could've dug up a better opponent for Peter.
