[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Middleweight contender Peter The Pride of Providence Manfredo, Jr. had a ringside seat in MGM Grand Theater at Foxwoods last Saturday night to witness the superlative performance turned in by WBC Emeritus 160-pound champion Sergio Maravilla Martinez, who dropped previously unbeaten WBO junior welterweight titlist Sergiy Razor Dzinziruk five times en route to an eighth-round knockout. Manfredo (37-6, 20 KOs) is riding a six-fight win streak since losing to super middleweight Saki Bika in 2008. The star of The Contender, Season One is currently rated #7 by the IBF and #9 by the WBC. I doubt HBO, Martinez or anyone in the world other than Lou Dibella and Peter Manfredo would want it.
I do not mind seeing this fight but it's a lot better if Martinez gets one of the belt holders at 160.
Now while I believe that Manfredo would get beat within an inch of his life if Martinez floored it from round 1 on, I do want to see this fight happen because it means I might be able to go since it would have a very good chance of happening near me.
martinez will work him but hes a top 160!! there is better fights to b made. sturm v martinez is wut should happen !!
