Precisely. At the time of Manila,Joe was still good enough to have beaten any heavyweight out there with the exception of Ali,of course, and George Foreman. Toney would crumble under Frazier's constant pressure and volume of punches.

Yeah, he would outhustle James and win a decision. I do not see a stoppage though

Every single match up lately featuring Toney on this forum has him up against it. I don't know if this is complimentary or if some of you like the idea of him copping a hiding!

Toney was too lazy to beat Frazier. Frazier has the worst combination of style, assets, and size for Toney.

Depends on Frazier's mentality. Frazier had a real vendetta with Ali which was obviously a main driving force behind his fights with Ali. I never really was too impressed with Frazier outside of the Ali fights (not saying he wasn't a good heavy, just saying he was a lot more beatable than most would normally would think).

Frazier from any Ali fight beats Toney senseless. Frazier form any fight outside the Ali fights would win a sloppy decision. By sloppy I mean close quarter fight with punches hard to see/score.

I am also a big fan of his. A straight up master in the ring and an entertaining personality outside it. I wish RJJ would rematch Toney nowadays, I know it wouldn't mean much but its better than what Roy has been up to lately - Also i would like James to get his revenge, Hopkins got his after all .

i think hopkins vs rjj 2002 after the trinidad win and rjj vs toney at 2003 for roy's HW belt would have been best. Toney would have had a great chance once RJJ started declining and losing his legs a little which was around 99 and after but for the HW belt would have made it the most meaningful.

How is he gonna do wear him down? An in shape Toney rarely gets hit flush. Difficult to penetrate his body with his arms wrept around. Toney is as tough and as they come and very durable.

The more logical pick is Frazier by decision, om volume. Toney can not get go his pace in my opinion.

Frazier hurts Toney eventually, and its all down hill from there for Lights out. might last the distance. 71 frazier stops toney in 8
