Look at Lennox @ age 25 w/ 14 pro fights and compare to Fury

Look at basic technique: foot work, athleticism, punch technique, jab, ring generalship. The difference to Fury is gigantic.

German sportbild? I doubt this is true. They write whatever they want.

Steward has a dominant HW record, it honestly sounds like a joke when he says this, but maybe he's right.

He's just trying to hype any possible future fight. He was praising Haye before he faced Wlad as well, saying how he would like to train him. Now after the fight he hasn't said anything to suggest he has approached Haye to train him.

As weak as the current division is at the moment I would be shocked if Fury ever picked up a world title let alone be a dominant champion.

Yes, I think Steward is overstating his abilities a bit.

But he's trained with him a bit, so he knows better than I would, obviously.

But I agree, Fury won't amount to much, other than a possibly a fair/decent contender.

In this vid you can tell he was quality at 25, especially out boxing a very good boxer in Gary Mason. But damn, both boxers took some major punishment and still stood up. Fury on the other hand.........

Yeah but his 3 years older than Fury there. Fury only recently has started training with experts. I expect massive improvements in Fury in 3 years time, watch this space.

How can anyone watch Fury fight & get excited about his future?

He's a little too slow, his punches aren't hard enough, and he seems to lack the killer instinct. It's possible that Manny can turn him into a "Wlad Light," that is, all defense & use your size / reach to keep opponents way. - But Fury won't have the incredibly weak opposition that Wlad enjoyed, so this won't work for him.

He'll just end up being an important stepping-stone for the real prospects, like Dinu, Boytsov, & (maybe) Perez. IMO any of those three could take Fury apart right now, let alone in a few years.

im sure most of you thought khan or froch wouldn't amount to anything early on in their career. boxers can improve. he is young and has all the natural ingredients to be successful. just needs quality sparring and the tutelage or someone like steward.

he's 22. heavy weights don't come in to there prime untill about 26. his power and conditioning may have improved by then. i reckon a year o sparring and training with steward he would be very good fighter.... he's born to be a fighter, he just needs to instil discipline in his life and take it more seriously.

look at the extent of coaching he's had. **** ALL. he's pretty good for such a lack of genuine professional training!

Fury is a fat ****ing gypsy. However Manny Steward could no doubt take a man who was 6'9 and lead him to the HW championship.

at 22 lewis was an olympic gold medalist & was clearly heading to the top of the sport.

at 22 fury holds the record for the quickest anyone can eat 30 big macs.
