I have been a big critic of Manny. I never thought he had anything else other than speed and stamina. I thought and still do think Marquez beat him both times. But yesterday....

Granted Ricky was tailor made for him. He has developed awesome technique. He is a ring general now. It didn't matter if Ricky came after him with wild abandon. He was in control of everything that was going on in that ring. He moved intelligently. He did not throw any punch that was not needed to be thrown unlike in his first fight with Marquez and Morales.

Think back at that fighter that stepped into the ring with Morales the first time around and think of the one that stepped into the ring last night. They are completely different and the Manny that fought last night is at another level.

He would give Cotto, Margarito, Mosley and Mayweather all that they could handle now. The only fighter that could beat Manny now would be Paul Williams. (Too difficult of a style). No other fighter at 140 and 147 can expect a walk in the park.

I used to think so. Except for Williams.
