you gotta take mayweather's mobility into account. when cotto was retreating, pac looked frustrated and was catching pac coming in, although he wasnt commiting to the punches because he was in survival mode. mayweather is alot faster then cotto and has better footwork

 

I hope it's not a bit of a stretch to say that a pacquiao-mayweather fight has the makings of a duran-leonard 1 all over again, imo, in terms of elite matchmaking, tactical warfare and star magnitude.

 

Pac will try to walk Floyd down without much success. He'll miss more than he lands and PBF will counter with 1-2 punches at a time -- landing at a decent %. PBF will probably get booed and it'll be a bit of a stinker but he'll win with a somewhat comfortable UD. He'll be critized for not having any balls but he'll get the W nonetheless.

it mayweather's fight to lose but he can tjust simply potshot pacquiao all day. pac is too fast for that. mayweather will have to stand his ground and make pac respect him. but mayweather has the puching ability to complete this task and he has to keep his defense tight. luckily for mayweather, he is usually consistent on defense. also he has to keep the pace of the fight as slow as possible. the faster the pace, the more it favors the offensive fighter in pac.

 

no, you're wrong. pac punchout put will force mayweather to counter more then he has ever had to due in recent fights. did u think mayweather vs. hatton was boring?

I was told I was wrong in my cotto/pac assessment too. Sure he'll counter more than he normally does vs. other fighters but it won't change the game plan. Floyd will use the ring to run/box and he'll frustrate the hell outta pac.

of course mayweather is going to us movement, hes a defensive fighter. but he wil also be countering. he moved alot against hatton, but what happened, he evenutally knocked him out by effectivaly. he going to have to hit pac hard and often enough times to keep him at bay.

True, when Cotto circled Pac to his right, Pac got frustrated. Pac did all his damage when Cotto circled to his left. When will people realize Mayweather takes away fighters best weapons. I just don't think Pac can adjust to Mayweather, Pac only fight one way. That's his weakness.

 

mayweather be what he always is, elusive. again, when cotto was retreating, pac looked noticeably fustarted. and pac is usually a great finisher but cotto survived all the up to the 12th rd and and had bayless not stepped in, cotto could have likely went the distance. and dont forget the jab, cotto controlled and won the first rd with the jab alone. mayweather gotta use the jab vs. pac
