By Keith Idec LAS VEGAS Other than stating his superstar fighter will be cut a $25 million check on Saturday night, promoter Bob Arum declined Wednesday to discuss just how much money Manny Pacquiao could make overall for his fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr. Floyd likes to talk about the money, and thats his prerogative, Arum said before a press conference at MGM Grand. Wed rather not talk about the money because the more money we talk about the more charities line up to get a piece. Whatever Pacquiaos final take is from the fight, Arum anticipates that the IRS wont be the only entity thatll receive a large portion of the philanthropic Filipino superstars earnings. Without any question, Arum said, I am sure that half the money Manny earns in this fight is going to go to charity. Im sure. Thats Manny. Pacquiao, a congressman and one of the most influential people in the Philippines, has donated millions of dollars to countless causes in his homeland.
LMFAO, it's called tax write-offs. You can bet Floyd will leave more to "charity". That's why Pac only donated $20K to typhoon victims in his own country because the write off checks had already been written. MarkQ KNOWS!
Arum doesn't talk about the money for two reasons: 1) How much he's taking from Pacquiao and 2) the IRS.
