Would Roach gotten this rich and famous without Manny ?

Manny now saying he hasn't sacked Roach and that he is yet to make a decision :

“Contrary to statements which I personally did not make that are circulating in the media, I have not made my final decision who will be my head trainer for my fight with Matthysse. My advisor Mike Koncz has been in contact with Freddie’s people to keep them informed,” wrote Pacquiao on Sunday.

“I will make a final decision within the week. When that decision is made, Freddie will be the first one to be informed and then I will advise the media.”

Meanwhile Freddie Roach is upset he has been sacked without being told :

“I would be lying if I said I wasn’t hurt that he didn’t contact me personally about his decision,” Roach said. “But the great times we enjoyed together far outweigh that.”

 

Roach should have taken up for Pac after Pac was robbed by Uncle Bob! Some call him Marsa Bob Arum! At least Teddy Atlas told the truth about the Horn fight! To my surprise, telling the truth about corruption in boxing can be dangerous to your career!

 

Is Roach really that great a trainer?

Quigg isn't a guy who is good at listening to instructions. He is a gym rat but stubborn as hell.

I think it may have to do with Roach's strictness. Manny is almost done and he's probably tired of the routine.

Haha. I think if Roach wasn't so severely debilitated by his illness he would have had plenty of confrontations over the years. He didn't deserve being kicked by Ariza, but I bet he is well capable of rubbing people up the wrong way at times
