I'm a huge fan of both fighters, but I saw enough in the contest with Cotto to suspect Floyd Mayweather will have plenty of opportunity to overcome the Filipino piranha. Which isn't to suggest its not a terrific fight in prospect, I'm salivating at the importance and appeal of the fixture but Mayweather will prove too able to stick to a strategy, too willing to stay beyond Pacquiao's reach and too intelligent. Something neither Cotto or Hatton proved to be, but something Marquez was. Mayweather is bigger, faster, stronger and more able than JMM. The blue-print is set to my mind. There will be a welcome freshness about the challenge for Mayweather, who I propose is happiest with the biggest pistol and a two stride head start before he'll duel with anyone. http://boxingwriter.co.uk/2009/11/18/manny-from-heaven-set-for-fair-weather-floyd/
