The secret weapon rarely discussed- is that manny has perfected a one inch punch! did anyone see how close the first knockout punch was coming from? he had litereally no leverage- was going to his right- while cotto was moving left- had just thrown a missing left hand- AND STILL managed to get off a quick right punch which floored cotto. he can somehow generate enough power, despite all of the contrary physical laws, to go all to his fists - and ko a welter. This is his great secret weapon i think- the ability to get off the one inch punch in close- where fighters normaly think they are safe- and cant get hit with much leverage. i think this is the key to beating floyd. if u look at floyds fights against oscar, and ricky- they tagged him alot- but never with leverage- cos his reflexes would see them coming if they came from afar- and if they were close- well they just didnt hurt. at one point oscar had floyd pinned and was just tapping on his head. but manny has this weapon - this ability to knock cats out with a punch reminiscinetn of tzyus quick short right- but even more compact. i really think this punch is one of the keys to the fight. mark my words- 8 months from now- the punch that stuns floyd will be the one inch punch.
