i dont belive a ****ing word of that. if it affects him mentally then it affects him physically the mind controls the body if he genuwinly belives drawing blood very close to a fight weakens him (which this vid shows he does) then it will. maybe it wont affect his physical ability's directly but if it effects his mental state of mind then that in turn will affect him physically. its not very hard to understand

and yes maybe the fact that floyd may genuwinly belive he's stepping in the ring with a cheater may also affect him mentally which will then affect him physically that could be true but im just saying mannys belife has some truth to it well atleast he thinks so which is what this is all about

Normally that would be the case, but that will still weaken a person who has already been weakened by cutting weight. I also believe that it can affect a person's mentality.

I want to see the fight with both fighters in perfectly good condition. Mentally and physically.

Part of being a professional fighter is learning to deal with things that affect you mentally, as well as physically, and simply going out there and doing your job. **** happens to every fighter in training camp, or before a fight, or during the fight, that shakes them up mentally, but it's their job to just ****ing deal with it.

I think Manny is a great fighter, and normally he's a pretty stand up guy, but trying to find any excuse whatsoever for losing to Morales was tacky. He should have just manned up admit that he lost to the better fighter that night. It made him better in the end, so there's no shame in it.

Pacquiao, though, isn’t the only high-profile athlete who has expressed reservations about giving blood near or at the time of competition. Jamaican sprinter Asafa Powell complained he was tested excessively during the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, in which he won a gold medal as a member of his nation’s 4 x 100 meter relay team.

“I got pretty upset two days ago because since I have been here, they have tested me four times,” Powell said during the 2008 Games. “They’ve taken so much blood from us we’re going to be very weak before the final.

If I remember correctly, it just isn't 1 test. USADA standards include 8 urine analysis exams and 5 random blood tests. Who's to say they wouldn't come nearly every single day the week of the fight?

Do any of you have any idea how hard it is to take blood from someone who is cutting weight?

    FACTS:

Guarantee a cut off date - NOPE
NFL, MLB, NBA drug testings agencies - NOPE
    Independent agency - NOPE

    Then they start backtracking. :huh

    Schaefer

FH: If there was a third party involved or hired to do the blood-testing, who or what would it be?

Schaefer: I have some suggestions. One of which was actually the one which Top Rank had recommended, which is the agency that does the NFL and Major League Baseball [The National Center for Drug Free Sports, based in Kansas City, Mo.] The problem is they only do urine.

But I'm sure that if they do urine, they could probably retain someone else to do the blood testing as well. If it would be that agency, that would be okay with us as long as it's random, it's urine, it's blood, and it is cut off at a date prior to the fight which maintains the integrity of the tests.

Wonder why they didn't accept it the first time. :huh

    ******************************************************************
    Schaefer

"We are OK to move off USADA," Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer, who is representing Mayweather, told ESPN.com. "What we're saying, and what is important to us, is four things -- that the tests be random, that they include blood and urine and the time frame, meaning when do you stop the tests before the fight but know they will still be effective. Three of them we have agreed on -- random, blood and urine. So now it is a matter of the two sides working out the specifics of the cutoff date to assure it will still be effective."

    Arum

“Schaefer is making it up,” Arum said without hesitation.
    ...
“It is not true, it is just not true. He is making this up now because he looks bad. He is making this up because he is trying to justify it to Mayweather. Let’s see if he can justify it to Mayweather why this fight is now dead.”

Isn't the issue here, the "RANDOM" blood test? And has it been "AGREED" upon? :huh

    ******************************************************************

    Schaefer

"Now that I've learned more about this, boxing now will have an outspoken advocate for blood testing in the sport," Schaefer said. "I plan to ask Nevada to have Travis Tygart explain why blood tests are necessary. This is not about hitting a baseball, throwing a football or hitting a puck. This is a sport that's mano-a-mano, with guys hitting each other's heads. It's important that the strongest testing possible is in place."

    Arum

"No. 2, we would agree to take the blood test in January within 30 days of the fight and any other random blood tests that the Nevada State Athletic Commission elected to do without a timeline," said Arum. "We're so confident that the Nevada Commission would do the right thing that we don't have to put a timeline in there."

    Kizer

GL: As of now have any petitions been filed?

    KK: "No."

    :huh
