Imo Winky and Abraham because of their defence and Mijares would be able to do what JMM already did two times.

p4p i'd favor wright the most. tough style to crack and would counter pac numerous times, good constant jab to back him up as well. guys who stand in front of pacquiao, ala hatton/pavlik, get overwhelmed.

Its definitely Winky. I honestly think his style of defense is the ultimate nightmare for Pac. He'd make Pac look sluggish to be honest.

    Miguel Cotto
    Joe Calzaghe
    Cristian Mijares
    Joan Guzman
    Winky-Wright

Calzaghe, Mijares, Winky-Wright I favour strongly stylistically. Guzman fairly strongly as it is, forget p4p

Cotto would be a great fight, a 50/50. Bodyshots work against Pacquiao.

i'm a mijares fan, but his defence is'nt a strong point as he often heavily relies on his reflexes to slip shots. i think he can counter pac's wild charges ala jmm, but he'll also take a lot of leather. his constant jab will definitely trouble pac, but you also need to be able to back him down to be effective. mijares backs guys up, but we have'nt seen enough to say he can do that against one of this generations greatest offensive fighters. if he was the favorite i think it'd be no more than 55/45. elusive movers like guzman are probably sylistically favored, but i think a very good counter puncher really is pacquiao's antidote (especially one that can back him up). for that reason, i'd overwhelmingly favor wright. p4p pac would KO pavlik and hatton in one though :yep.

I agree. Slick fighters like Mijares would surely give Pac trouble almost like JMM did, but I don't think he can beat Pac. The thing is, you can be slick all you want but you NEED to be able to have enough POWER to earn Pac's respect and back him up to be able to have a chance in beating him. History has shown that that is the case when it comes to fighting Pac (i.e Morales and JMM) and I don't think Mijares has that kind of power in his fists.

That's also why I'm not convinced that Guzman is a so-called "nightmare" against Pac. Especially since Pac is a speed demon himself. I'd favor Pac over Guzman and Mijares.
