sasakul was 112 linear champ as well as WBC flyweight champ when pac KO'd him.

and jmm wasn't linear champ @130. it was vacant. pac was rated #1 and jmm #2. pac established a new lineage @130 when he defeated jmm. last linear champ @130 before pac was floyd.

He was having serious problems with weight since before his loss to Singsurat so fighting at those weights would not have been a wise move on his part hence why he immediately jumped to 122.

the ring title doesn't always correspond to the lineal championship. it does try to follow it closely but not always.

there is no belt/title that corresponds to the lineal championship. so, there is no such thing as an "uncrowned" lineal champion.

He actaully did beat JMM in the first fight.....but everyone already knows the circumstances surrounding that ordeal.

As was already mentioned PAC has already proven his greatness regardless of how many actual belts he has won but this whole Lineal and Ring championship crap is getting way out of hand.

It's bad enough that we have all these alphabet soup titles per division, we need to draw the line somewhere!

If you're referring to the fact that most think JMM came back from that first round to outbox Pac and win the fight only to be given a draw then I agree with you. If not, then I guess you were talking about the official Draw.

No strap, trinket, belt. So it makes him 5 time not 6.

Nah....JMM deserves credit for getting out of the 1st round and more credit for staging a great comeback but still in a loosing effort. I'm talking about the "FACT" that a judge on that particular fight made a mistake scoring which inevitably allowed JMM to hold on to his titles due to the technicallity. Had the fight been scored properly PAC would have won based on a majority decision.

IMO JMM did a wonderful job after the first few rounds but he didn't do enough to win. He really got lucky with the draw and he should have agreed to an immediate rematch to clear up any contraversy but of course he took the high road. That in itself was a dumb move b/c his best shot at beating PAC was when Manny was more one demansional. To beat Manny now????? That ship has sailed off in to the sunset.

    And… you just contradicted yourself.

Yes… there’s no such thing as an “uncrowned” lineal champion.

(unless in the event he is actually stripped of ALL his titles).

no biggie as there are other 6-weight belt holders like hoya and floyd (or is floyd a 5-weight beltholder). but we are talking about championships and not just belts/trinkets here. that's why pac is a 6-weight champ and either a 5 or 4-weight belt holder, depending on how you look at the IBO belt. more importantly though, pac is now the only 4-weight lineal champ in boxing.

barrera was stripped of his alphabet soup belts/titles but was still lineal champ when pac KO'd him in 2003. that's why i said that there is no belt/title that corresponds to the lineal championship, thus no such thing as an "uncrowned" lineal champ. you are either the lineal champ or you are not, regardless of the aphabet belts/titles that you currently have.

I think he is saying Pacman beat the man (Barrera) to become the man at 126.... well I think.
