Ricky has disapointed me since the tszyu fight

he has regressed into this head first straight lines fighting slugger who eats punches with his face.

Here in England after the tszyu fight many of us were hoping he would progress as a fighter and even in his mad style of fighting, use the jab and faints a bit to set up the body attacks.

but those have slowly faded away in many of his fights, and he has become a one dimensional fighter.

Marquez when he was put down three times by manny in their first fight adapted , but ricky could not and that is the difference between being a elite fighter and not being one.

You should realize, that Tszyu was over the hill in that fight. That made Hatton a hypejob...

What other dimension did he ever show and against which elite world class opposition? Eamon Magee? Ben Tackie? Vince Phillips? Where was all the fabled work he had been working on with Snr in the run up to this fight? What about all the fine tuning he apparently did with Billy Graham? Theres a big diffrence in boxing to fighting the ****** Rowsells of this world and PBF or Manny. 140/47 is brimming with talent. Wether you want to admit it or not Hatton doesnt hold a candle to any of the best fighters in and around those weight divisions. He fought at his best weight and did what he always does. Walk forward and eat take punches on his face. Only one problem there. Manny can punch.

    bollocks

Ricky cut people open by having good side to side movement

and yes he did once move his head when he fought

all this he has always been one dimensional is spouted by idiots like yourself who have not see hattons early fights.

Yes, he is a one dimensional fighter. He had improved his skills after he won against Tyzu. I don't want to say anything bad against Hatton but he fought lesser comps in his division.

I never said he was some boxing genius

but he isnt this club fighter you lot like to make him out to be

you dont stop tszyu if your just some club fighter

and before anyone denigrates that win, tszyu had knocked out mitchell brutally only months before his last defeat.

I would more suggest it was his Ben Tackie performace after following Tszyu's blueprint that he showed he had some boxing ability.

Ricky is still a bit of a dirty rabbit puncher, but it didn't get him anywhere tonight.

Hatton has gone down the same road as many brawlers in the past have. Bottom line, in boxing, if you defence is not above average, you will eventually get KO'd. Hatton has always taken punishment throughout his career, your body can only take so much...and when you finally come across a combination of a good opponent and the accumilation of wear & tear..you get KO'd.
