I'll give Pacquiao a bit credit. I say "abit" cause i knew from day one that Pacquiao will easily beat Margarito. Margarito before facing Pacquiao won a fight in which he didn't look real good at all. I think the beating Margarito got from Mosley shows Margarito is no longer the same fighter he once was.

anyway, this was a nice win for pac because he beat a jr. mw who was a good opponent. but you have to keep this in context. margo is not a elite fighter. the difference talent was apparent even before the fight signed.

the fight that the is really releveant is a pac-mayweather fight. hopefully mayweather has finally grown a pair, and this fight happens.
and there was very little in the margarito fight that tells how a pac-mayweather fight would turn out.

Marg could have had 30lbs, it doesn't matter when your slow as a snail. Weight advantage alone does not make up for a complete lack of class, and skill, and Margarito has always been a no skilled bum with a good chin.

Margo against Mosley is different. Look at what Margos former trainer, Capetillo, has to say:

"Four or five days out from the fight it was like he had the flu. He was shrinking before our eyes."

That bum with a good chin has wins over Cotto, Clotty and Martinez and pushed Williams close

 

Neither one of them was all that good, skill wise, but they had hard heads.

 

Williams spanked him, Mosley dominated and then KOed him, Martinez was green at the time, just like Pacquiao wasn't always as formidable as he is now. Clottey isn't elite, Cotto was a good win but Cotto has serious flaws too. Oh yeah, and we don't know if he legal during all of those fights either. We know he wasn't loaded tonight.

 

well, yeah, you're right, pac did more damage to margo face, clearly. but that has to do with the fact that pac threw and landed more blows. pac vs. margo was fought at a faster pace and nobody is a better volume puncher then pac. and mosley is a bigger puncher then pac so he didnt need to land as much as pac to knock margo out(although he did land frequently).
