but i have a feeling that even if he did ko'ed diaz last fight, he did not brought his power up or his power now can be easily nullified by other natural lightweights. imagine that even with the amount of punches diaz absorbed, pac still took 9 rounds to ko diaz.

yup physically he still got a lot left, this is what i said on another thread. Its like the transition MAB did although MAB was better as a boxer.

    ridiculed by whom, you?

and as far as i see, marquez butt lickers are the bigger whiners of them all. pac fans just let pac do the talking in the ring. haters do it by namecalling and whining. :deal

diaz is one tough and strong sob, it took holt 8 or 7 rounds i believe, i think his power was also the same. Its the speed, plus i didn't think the weight affect that much. He's still below 150 during fights..now if he reaches 150 or goes beyond that then i think the changes would occur

yeah either that or lightweights can absorb pac's punches better. of course pac's punches was strong for someone in featherweight but it would seem as an average for someone at higher weights. interesting comparison about the holt stopping diaz in 8. that was at 140 i think.

MAB was not in his prime when they first fought. It has nothing to do with Pacquiao. MAB was not in his prime when he faced Hamed either at 126. A look at MAB at 122 compared to the 126+ versions show that MAB wasn't the same physically. However, he altered his style much like Hopkins did to take advantage of skill as opposed to physical attributes. This doesn't matter much in regards to Pacquiao because Pacquiao would have beaten MAB at 122 at his peak as well. Pacquiao would always beat MAB.

He hasn't brought his power up....that doesn't mean he isn't stronger or doesn't hit harder with the added muscle. It means that his power relative to the fighters he is hitting is less than it was at 130.

However, Pacquiao used to blitz boxers. He didn't have the ability and subtlty to hold back and catch a fighter coming in with a punch he doesn't see like he does now. And that's how he got Diaz. This could improve his ability and performance, though guys with more speed of foot and hand will give him problems at this weight and weights above.

There will be no catchweight. Pacquiao is the one asking Hatton for the fight, not vice versa. Hatton will not come down in weight to face him.
