I guess only Floyd is watching life via the money, PAc can still get big money and fight big names and getting proper respect.

Thanks for your answer. You shouldn't pay too much attention to posters who are too extremists, however many other posters have stated the reasons why they believe this fight would be a mismatch and they have good reasons.

Regarding some posters who have stated that this fight is a farce, I think some of them think that way because they believe Hoya is not shot and once Oscar connects his punches hard enough on Pac's face and body then Pac is going to hesitate and from that point he might end up just trying to survive and just make it for the final bell, or Roach might end up throwing the towel, hence a farce just to collect big money. Keep this in mind, Roach likes to protect his boxers and if he sees that Pac can't handle Hoya or is taking more than he should then he might throw the towel. I personally don't have any doubts about this.

If you analyse both boxers you would probably come to the conclusion as I did that Pac could only win depending on how shot Hoya is. Let me put it this way..... a prime Hoya would destroy any version of Pac, so if we take this into consideration we realize that Pac could only beat him if and when he is at a certaint fading stage or total shot.

Is Hoya shot or almost shot? if this is the case then Pac has a chance obviously, but if he isn't and a version of the Hoya who fought Mayorga shows up at fight night, then is going to be hell for Pac, because Pac's style is pretty much tailor made for Oscar.

OK well I guess im just arguing against the wrong poster then if your not in that group of people calling this fight a farce. lol. I know why people are calling it a farce, but as it stands, their prediction of how the fight will go is simply just that, a prediction, not as fact. On paper Hagler should murder the LW Duran...didnt quite work out. Let the fighters prove in the ring just how the fight will go, not simply state how the fight will go and not allow us fans to see it because some people are already so convinced of how it would go.

As for how shot DLH is, well IMO the Pac that beat Diaz vs the odlh that beat Forbes has a very good chance, and thats where I think Roach drew his predicition of the fight from too. Pac is very different from Mayorga, his defense is extremely underrated. This guy could box with the best and because of his footspeed and reflexes, he can avoid alot of shots if fighting a disciplined fight(which is what he showed against Diaz). He was outjabbing MAB, that says alot.

Sounds like your making **** up on the fly brah.... I think Roach kinda saw something when DLH fought Steve Forbes who was smaller than DLH and is slower and has less power than Pacman... If Forbes was able to do what he did to DLH, he imagined Pacquiao could do better. Roach didn't change his tune... I see this fight being more competitive than you all see.

    Divac,

Here's the differenc. Pac can afford to turn down the fight coz pac is not chasing any legacy to fight ODLH. He was interested due to the big purse.

In JMM's case, he DESPERATELY wanted to fight PAC to fast tract his ticket to stardom, respect and legacy!!!.

JMM knows his resume is pale in comparison with the other two great mexican boxers..mab and morales. He wanted to put some glory in his resume by being the 2nd mexican to win over pac.

JMM had little bargaining power for him to get the purse he wanted coz JMM will move heaven and earth to fight pac..

PAC will not move heaven and earth to fight ODHL! Pac is not DESPARATE to fight ODLH.

Pac had a choice... JMM had no choice!

They were not in the same shoes as you pointed out.

4" in height and 10 to 15 lbs. difference doesn't make it look like VALUEV vs CHAGAEV fight. You must have a crystal ball...I wonder what's gonna be your alibi once the fight push through and PACMAN wins. You better start thinking because the fight will happen wether you like it or not....MARK MY WORD...:hat

I've been against the fight since I first heard about it. It felt like a sideshow and Manny has a lot of fights he can manke at Lightweight. But then after it seemed an inevitable outcome, I kinda accepted it and just try to look forward to all the "It was supposed to be an exhibition" posts I was gonna make. And now that its not gonna happen I almost feel cheated.
