The thing is this: With Pac as hot as he is, he doesn't need PBF. I don't know if his team wants the fight. Seems like Freddie does. We'll have to wait to find out.

If he can't get Mosley or Mayweather, I'd like to see him fight Cory Spinks for a 154 title. Makes perfect sense and won't be too much of a stretch given Spinks lack of punching power. He can even come in at the Welterweight limit. That fight could answer alot of questions as how he would deal with a slick boxer who's bigger than him and would be great preperation for a Mayweather bout.

 

That is a fight Pac could win.

 

Maybe for the first half of the fight. Zab has trouble in the later rounds though. Who's the mandator contender? I think Paquiao should fight him next. Will Pac be able to make that fight for 145 or less? Or will they make it a full 147?

Please dont put Pac in the ring with anyone except PW,Mosley,Mayweather. He fights anyone one else from 147 down and he will likely go to prison for murder.

 

I agree, he's not even supposed to be fighting at welterweight, seriously he's only defying logic now with his last three fights confirming to people that he is the greatest of this generation.

If he wants to continue then a tune-up is a MUST next, look at his last four fights, all of them are step ups. Even the Diaz fight is a new weight division fight and history making regardless of how people view Diaz as an opponent. Then comes DLH, Hatton and now Cotto, this is crazy.

A tune up then maybe a fight with Mayweather, if a fight with Mayweather doesn't happen then retirement. He can retire now and confirm he's the greatest of this generation anyway, he doesn't NEED to prove it anymore, the DLH win was more than enough, Hatton and Cotto are just STFU fights for doubters.

 

Plus Cory Spinks is probably the only name at 154 that would look good on his resume at this point in time and bring him the most money and a title. Paul Williams is at Middleweight and Pac would only fight him below 147 so I don't think that fight will ever happen. Only other attractive option I can think of if he can't get Mosley or Mayweather, would be a third fight with Marquez.
