He wasn't a welterweight by the time Manny fought him, nor could he make the welterweight limit safely. So I don't know why you're even asking such a question.
They met in the middle at a catch-weight and Manny was still outweighed by 16 pounds on fight night. The belt was bull****, but the fight was still a fun fight.
I'm a Marquez fan, but in the history books, Marquez lost. They were all super close fights. It makes Marquez's knock-out that special. Manny is definitely in a class of his own. Going up from the flyweight division to featherweight even is a great accomplishment. He one-upped that and went to welterweight. I don't think we're ever going to see another like Manny. He isn't overrated by any means.
I agree.. The Marquez fights could have gone either way.. Pac definitely beat Bradley though. Much worse decision in that fight.
fights with marquez are considered all time great fights.. all fights could've gone either way even the last fight. both are ATGs.. u never become fighter of the decade if you are overated
He is overrated because he loss to Marquez. WTF? losing to one of the best of all time. He never loss to Bradley mate.. He was robbed. But since they robbed Marquez. It's OK.
Yeah, his win versus ATG Barrera when Pacquiao was a huge underdog and no one gave him a chance in hell was totally meaningless...and the only reason he destroyed Barrera so thoroughly is because he was on Roids even back then in 2003, at the very least he was on A-Side meth.
It's this simple, and every 21+ boxing fan knows this. Ignore the sweaty, high school *****'s. Theyre going through crucial bodily and hormonal changes.
