What are people thoughts on this. Manny has gone from being a pressure fighter in his early career. To an incredible counter puncher.

His problem is patience in that Fighters learn to wait for pac to throw 1st and counter him as that provides better results.

Any fighter that has attacked manny recenetly, has been destoyed.

Bradley tried for a few rounds and got brutalised.

I feel that's his strongest skill at the minute. Put him in the ring with any pressure fighter of the last 50 years between 135 and 147 and manny wins wide UD or stops them.

Put him in the ring with the great boxers of the last 50 years from 135 to 147, and they make manny look amateur.

Him transitioning to a counter puncher has killed everything that made Pacquaio great, he no longers wants to work and overwhelm his opponents all 36 minutes of the fight, he rather look for a sensational counter hoping for the one punch KO, when he truly was never a one punch ko fighter, no matter how much he or people hypes him up to be

Stretching it a bit, don't you think, JA?

He's an awkward southpaw with ridiculous punch selection and angles, that has the ability to counterpunch just a bit. I wouldn't call him a straight-up counter puncher like Donaire, JMM or Floyd.

maybe. but the way he tries to sucker you in by being in a high guard. then fire back with combos.

FLoyd and Jones are obviously better techinical counter punchers.

But Manny will make you pay with 3/4/5 punch hard shots not just one.

When bradley tried to maul manny for a couple of rounds in the middle of the fights, he got absolutely destroyed.

It doesn't come natural to him or flow out naturally. He spends too much time being idle when he goes into counterpunching mode.

He can counter when it's a passive reaction. Proactively trying to counter? forget it

if you attack mayweather and marquez. you lose a UD if you have a good chin, or a late round KO if not.

If you attack Manny - Your getting KO'd - Unless you're granite hinned liked Tony of course. Although he did recieve permenant eye damage.

He's a good counter puncher, but not really on the same level as the top counter punchers like JMM or Floyd.

But he's definitely strong and fast enough for his counter punches to be really deadly.

he def has the ability to counterpunch but not as effectively as floyd or marquez

marquez is an aggressive counter puncher and i for one find his style extremly pleasing to watch

pacquiao tends to just takes to much time off when trying to counterpunch.. he will just sit there with his high guard up .. in the later rounds against bradley he tried this, bradley had allready made the mistake of trying to unleash on pacquiao and opted to just control him , move him with the jab and an occasional 1-2 ... this is why i scored 10,11 and 12 for bradley

I don't know about all that. For a guy that was getting absolutely destroyed by counter punches Tim's face was surprisingly scrape free.
