Difference. Floyd was allowed to weigh up to 147. While Pac and Cotto were only allowed to weigh up to 145.
Then why do they call it a catch weight fight? Because they aren't allowed to weigh in at the max of the limit.
Catch weight fight in the welterweight division.... 140-147 Just like Mayweather fought a catch weight in the welterweight division at 146.
140-147 You can weigh UNDER 140 and still fight for a WW title. It's called a catchweight because it took place under 147. Although the Pac-DLH fight fell under what a catch weight is, two fighters meeting in the middle but it took place at the maximum amount a WW can weight. Unless you want to get nit picky and say 149 is the max for a WW fight. Which it technically is. As long as it's non title But Mayweather had the option to weigh 147. While Pac-Cotto did not.
LOL. Don't bother asking. Same with the TS. As if they both just decided to follow boxing today and didn't know the history. What even funnier is that those defenders of PBF are not addressing the OP but are posting tangents and other shits. LMAO. Even if you are a PBF fan you should admit that the OP is an asinine question that without your blinded bias you would have lambasted the same.
What!?!? No you can't. Are you ****ing dumb? You cannot fight for the Welterweight title with a catch weight under 140 or above 147.
Yes you can. I just went brain dead on the fighter but a JWW fighter weighed 134 for a 140 title fight. So you are wrong. Once I remember, Ill name him.
What was the weight limit? You can weigh whatever the hell you want, but you can't limit a guy to another division.
