Manny was far more skilled, his guard was tighter even though he was open to left hooks, Elorde was a southpaw and didn`t throw hooks, Manny was a better combo puncher, I don`t feel Elorde looked that good v Ortiz.
Ortiz fights were at lightweight, which wasn't Elorde's best weight. Elorde had better defense at 130lbs, especially in close, and was a far better infighter. He could also turn his rear hand into a hook from the southpaw stance. Pac was a bit faster and hit harder; and certainly more consistent. Probably a close fight, either way.
