Manny "Pacman " Pacquiao vs Paul "The Punisher " Williams

The problem is pac cant fight on the inside. Williams for his reach was a much better fighter on the inside than pac. Nothing pac threw would deter williams and pac wasn't a counter puncher he isnt slick so he would just keep trading and keep getting out worked while getting touched up himself. I see a ud win for Williams here. Williams is a horrible styles match up for pac.

 

Paul would have whipped his ass.

 

Go watch his figts again. Pac likes to change angles on the inside. It would give Williams hell.

 

Nah pac fights at mid range. Pac would get outworked and outlanded especially the version of pac back then who was more one-dimensional.

He used his height and reach extremely well against Margarito, he used it perfectly although it was brief against Quintana in the rematch, and also used his size and reach excellently against Winky.

 

Seriously it's a no brainer, can you imagine Pac exchanging firepower with Williams and actually getting the best of the exchanges? Pac would have to be very selective with his output and stay out of harm's way far more than normal and I doubt that its possible. Williams would be more than happy to eat 2 or 3 punches in order to unleash a 7 punch combo. Pac get brutally broken down.

 

Yup. The steroid nonsense started with the Mayweathers who got sued and had to settle because if it had gone to trial FlIVds own ped use would've been made public.

 

Honestly, this would be a fight where Tall Paul's height advantage is actually a disadvantage. Williams is 6' 1" and Pacquiao is 5' 5" and can be really elusive when he wants to be. Williams would have a hard time finding Pacquiao. Pacquiao would kill that body and turn this praying mantis all night long. Williams's long ass legs wouldn't be able to keep up. Williams would be made to look cement-footed.

Also, by the time they would have fought, it would have been impossible for Williams not to be badly drained at 147.

How often have you saw a boxer beat another boxer to the punch every single time? That's extremely rare I've only saw a couple boxers that possess that type of skillset and even then they needed the perfect opponent to do it to. Pacquiao would have to exchange far too often, similar to how he did with Cotto the only difference is he'd get pummeled by Williams.

It would be a matter of if Manny's flurries or step-in singular shots would be enough to steal the round over the 100+ coming back at him backing him up. We know how most folks on this forum would score those rounds. Manny doesn't get and stay inside like people are saying is his avenue. He doesn't move back the whole round throwing counters and step-in potshots well... It is not crazy to think either gets a win here. Would have been a dramatic fight.

 

It doesnt matter. Anyone will money in a sport at the elite level is on something. Thats the worl we live in. If anyone believes different they are in denial.
