Did you even read the thread starter's first post? He asked would the Pac who beat Margo, also beat the same Canelo who lost to Floyd at 152lbs. The answer to that is Yes. You may disagree, but my answer is 100% relevant to the topic.

Canelo still doesn't have fast feet and he doesn't move all that well below the waist. Yes, he does have good upper body and head movement but he isn't very adept at cutting the ring off. Khan was beating him until he KO'd him. And here we are talking about a prime Pacquaio versus a green Canelo, a Pac who used angles and had not only great footwork but incredible handspeed. I still question Canelo's stamina and it seemed worse at 152 pounds. Pac had a great gas tank, it was definitely superior to Canelo's. I think Pac would win a decision. I think people are forgetting how good Pac was during this time, a truly great fighter.

And Marquez isn't relevant to this discussion. It took him 42 rounds to catch Pac with a KO shot. Canelo wouldn't have the luxury of that much experience against Pac in one fight and Marquez was far more seasoned than Canelo. I also don't remember Marquez gassing in any of his fights, even when he was pushing 40.

Marquez has 1000x better footwork than Canelo and can offset Pacquiao's movement with his own footwork. Canelo has none of that.

Marquez is an ATG and Canelo just ain't at that level. Especially not the younger Canelo who hadn't come into his own yet.

The point still stands whether it be Margarito or Canelo.

Canelo might very well be stopped. He was so drained and depleted against Floyd that his face was marked up worse than in either of the GGG and Jacobs fight. Unless Floyd punches harder than GGG and Jacobs.

When your body is that compromised, you bruise a lot easier and suffer greater negative effects.

How drained was Canelo? Guy is fighting at 175 next.

Not the same. Canelo was already having trouble making the weight he was currently making. He had to kill himself just to make 155 because he couldn't make 154. Even started his own weight class.

Cotto never had problems making 147 let alone 145 or even 140.

Canelo had absolutely no stamina at 152 pounds. Pac may even wear down the dehydrated one and press for the KO.

Just gonna put this into a bit of perspective.
Canelo Alverez was fighting at 154 and weighed in at 153 1/2 for the Trout fight
He weighed in at 152 for the Mayweather fight. Hardly a corpse.
You use Canelo talking about Fighting at 175 as an excuse for this. But is putting on 23lbs of weight (whilst taking Steroids) over 6 years that hard? And as of right now he's only actually fought at 164.

The only reason it is not the same is because you are an extreme Pac fan. Cotto never fought at 147 again and instead moved to 154 while Alvarez fought at 155, three pounds heavier than the "drained" weight for years.

Cotto and Mosley are the only other Mayweather opponents to fight above 147. Cotto was small at 154 and Mosley also looked small at 154. The fact that Canelo weighed in at 167.4 for the Fielding fight and was shredded says how badly drained Canelo was.
