If you've ever boxed you'll know that the biggest advantage of being the physically bigger man in a boxing ring is simply being able to close the distance easier and get your shots off from a more suitable range.. Basically Valuev would close the gap and any tactics would go out the window..
Did you ever step into a ring and spar yourself? Did you ever get punched by a guy weighing more than twice your own weight? Do you actually think 16 ounce boxing gloves can protect you from a 250+ pound punch thrown at you? atsch
The sad thing is enough of us got lured to this thread like flies to a pile of **** to make it 3 pages long.
Langford weighed in around 175-180 at his best, pac barely weighs in at 150 atsch. So lets say pac moved up to heavy he would have to put on another 25 pounds just to compete All his speed would be gone.
Doesn't matter if it's manny, floyd or whoever else; Valuev wouldn't need DIRECT shots; he culd just slaps large hooks, the reach disadvantage is too much; no guard or gloves could ever protect a welter weight chin for more than two orm three rounds; and floyd is also known for having a relatively weak chin, so; but mostly, no one of them could even reach Valuev's jaw with enough power; Valuev had a solid chin; the REAL question is: what VERSION of Valuev is intended? Because the gigantis caused him a flashing healt decay; go watch Valuev vs Barrett, and you will understand why he lost (at points, and with no great difference) against Haye.
What about them? Did they ever fight anyone 18 inches taller than them and more than twice their weight?
not only he was never hit by a 320 pound guy, he obviously doesn't know how it's like to clinch with something like that. And it's like lifting a 320 pound barbell and trying to box after that.
Pacman would get DQ cus there's no way he could hit Valuev anywhere above the waistline, even if he tried punching him mid jump.
