Dunno about money. i mean to stay relevant. He lost 2 of his most defining fights.
arguably got schooled in the his biggest fight ever.

i mean hatton would never have made it with the booze etc.
marquez and morales lost to lesser opponents.

Pac man is still fighting to be relevant and remembered.
in my opinion. i just hear rumors about the money thing but no clue bud

Fighting to stay relevant? Haha, sure. It's more like 50% money motivated and 50% a love of fighting. Pac has repeatedly stated that he feels lonely without boxing in his life and he's one of the purest fighters the sport has ever known. A born fighter. Boxing made him and he hasn't forgotten that.

Mayweather schooled him and took 10 clear rounds.

I don't think he means 'relevant' in a legacy sense but more of an attention sense. It must be hard to go from a global star to a name in the record books. It's part of the reason why Mayweather can't leave things behind either.

Nah, I don't buy that. Floyd is all about the attention—and money (because he's obviously squandering his money and has money issues). Pac is a living national hero and the most popular person in his country and he's a senator. I doubt he's needing any more attention than he already has even if it's from the boxing world. I still think it's 50% money and 50% loving what made him—fighting.

Well we'll agree to disagree. I think Manny loves the spotlight. He loves being a celebrity and retiring definitely lessens his star power.

You're delusional. Pac was countering him all night and had him out on his feet in the 9th. Pac's face tells a far different story.
