If you are correct then it makes me even wonder more why Floyd ducked him forever.... :confundio:

I thought Pacquiao's performance against Margarito was more impressive than his performance vs Cotto.

Cotto needs to be set to punch where as Margarito threw punches set or not. Plus Margarito is tougher than Cotto which made Pacquiao had to work more for it.

Oscar. I really thought Pac does not have a chance due to size difference and once ODLH lands a left hook.

Cotto was a HOF fighter with a huge size advantage and Pacquiao for the most part dominated the fight viciously, but Cotto did have his moments and his rounds, especially early.

MAB is a much better fighter than Cotto, but did not hold such a drastic size advantage over Pacquiao like Cotto did. However, Pacquiao did dominate Barrera even harder than he dominated Cotto.

Cotto, although Margarito had already beat the prime out of him.

He hurt cotto early, think round 3 or 4 and it was beyond over at that point. That the mab and 2nd morales(even 1st morales fight belongs) fights were his greatest showings

    Morales II.

Against all of the other fighters he beat they had already been stopped.

This is the first time Morales felt this pain.

    A special night.

Agreed. That was arguably his most impressive performance.

I don't put as much stock in the DLH fight as some people on here do considering OScar hadn't made that weight class in nearly 10 years. He looked like a dead man walking in the ring.

Well we all have said it, but the Cotto fight was definitely the best for me. That and Margarito and DLH because he was definitely the smaller fighter but still managed to beast both of them.

Floyd kicked his ass, Pacquiao's greatest performance was Marquez 4 IMO, he did great but Marquez is a better fighter than him.

Those are the two. So many of his other big wins we can and I do question. Oscar was totally wasted making weight and had nothing in the ring. But Cotto and Barrera were greats at their absolute peaks, and Pac dominated and beat them up. I'll take Cotto as the one greatest. Pac's handspeed was unreal, his attack came in combination, yet was precise and smooth. And his footwork had become more adept, which allowed him to cut off the ring and close the distance fast to respond when Cotto boxed well.

When you really think about it, Pacquiao's was actually at his best in all four of his fights with Marquez.
Its against Marquez that he was forced to bring out all his bag of tricks, something he didn't have to do vs fighters like DLH, Hatton, Cotto, and Margarito as they were all much slower and clearly less skilled than Marquez.

Cotto's vulnerabilities played right into the hands of Pacquiao. I've always said that if you don't have a right hand to speak of, Pacquiao will be a complete menace to you. You need a right hand to combat Pacquiao's southpaw stance.
.....and with Cotto, he was lost with Pacquiao's darting, in, out, and to the sides. He just didn't have the timing and footwork to deal with that type of movement. All these deficiencies Pacquiao eats up.

Much more impressive for Pacquiao to even compete with Marquez than his actual dominations of the fighters at welter that he faced early in his climb there.

I'd take MAB I as the one greatest. Pax was something else that night. Unhuman. Like Aaron Pryor on steroids with blinding speed.
