Manny Pacquaio beats this version of Duran

Jesus, imagine Pac vs. Tommy Hearns. Probably a similar result of Duran vs. Tommy Hearns.

 

Im sure Pac would train more than just 2 good weeks Duran trained for this fight.

He could train for 10 years for it.. doesn't change the fact that Tommy is a huge welterweight.. he has about a foot reach advantage over manny and he also had a 90% KO at 147 lbs.

I'm a manny fan.. i think he's great.. however there's no doubt in my mind that pacquiao wouldn't see the third round if he ever fought a peak hearns at welter or above... One huge Tommy right hand and one lucky filipino fan in row Z would be taking Mannys severed head home as a souvenir.

 

At 135 Pac gets pummeled..
At 147 Duran gets crushed..

I have no problem saying Hearns destroy Pac in fact I believe so too but its stupid talk like Hearns wins by early TKO much like how Duran lost thats just ******ed. Duran really had no gameplan coming into that fight and his mind was still on a Leonard rubbermatch. Pac would be more mentally strong and conditioned to last more than just 3 rounds.

 

Pacquiao would need to get on his bike and use the jab the to keep Tommy off him... (ala leonard vs Hearns) how you out jab someone who has a foot longer reach than you is the problem !!!!

This is a crazy discussion... it's like discussing RJJ vs Lewis.. they both have fought at the same weight.. but peak to peak it's a huge mismatch

Duran excelled at fighhtinf south paws. look what Eric Morales did in thier first fight! And what Juan Manuel Marquez di in his two fights with pacquiau! duran was too tough ,too smart and way to powerful for manny at any weight. Why do you think Roberto Duran could go the distance with so much bigger guys ? His head movement and defense was highly under rated. Manny;s lack of both would be exploited big time against Hand s of Stone. Duran by beatdown at any weight . With Ray arcel in his corner , boxing lesson and brutal ko !!
