    2 questions.

    1. Where would you rate marquez, bearing in mind that his best win is against a fighter that is not quite elite and it took him 4 tries.

    2. Who out of the current crop of fighters whose careers are soon coming to a close (say in the next 5 years or the last 2) do you consider elite

    Actually I dont give JMM quite that much credit. I think the perfect shot came, but in general he wanted to go out and do what he always did. He would have thought that he could counter Pac all day, and Pac has never really shown ring intelligence before so he'd have been stuck once again. Pac really focused on training and Roach found a big hole in Pac's style against JMM and FINALLY adjusted it. The punch that came was just perfect though. It was a counter, which is always a great shot, but it landed so clean and pretty much would have put out anyone.

    Marquez is a counter puncher and picks his punches, that is why he is still able to compete..
    Lets look at another mexican ATG in Morrales can he still fight till he is 40?? Hmm NO proven NO

    *****s are getting worse than Klitards. Not fans of boxing at all, just fans of guys the same colour of them who happen to box. ****s aren't happy denigrating Pac because of PEDs despite there being no evidence, now he's not an ATG 'cos he got knocked out going for a KO himself.

    Marquez may be a counter puncher but he doesn't have the greatest defense and he's always getting hit a lot in his fights. You act like he's some kind of defensive wizard who rarely get's hit clean. He taken just as much punishment, hell probably more than Pac so they longegvity excuse fails.

    Pac dismantled Hatton in 2 rounds (at his natural weight) when it took Floyd 10 rounds to KO him out of his weight division, and Pac handed out beatings to Cotto, Mosley and Oscar far more emphatically than Floyd did. When will nubs learn that triangles don't mean **** in boxing? I would have picked Floyd over Pac pretty much any time over the past 5 years, but Floyd bitched out, simple as.

    Pac dismantled a Hatton who admitted he was snorting coke and never the same after Floyd KOed him first. Pac beat weigh drained Cotto, severly weight drainedwalking dead zombie de la hoya. I understand all of that triangle ****, but Pac's can't deal with intelligent counter punchers. Floyd doesn everything Marquez does, except much quicker and faster and he's way harder to hit. Pac blew his chance at the biggest payday of his career. Simple as that

    Nobody is belittling Pac. If you bothered to read the OP, I gave Pac a lot of respect. My post was directed at his fans and some members of the media who grossly overrated him, and fooled the general non hardcore, casual boxing fan into thinking he was something greater than what he really was.
