So many out there bitching about Manny doing this or that.

The man has quite simply faced the best competition of any boxer since Felix Trinidad, and then some.

Exciting style, not afraid to fight anyone bigger....delivers time and time again.

And you still have people out there criticizing him for trying to make the best money deal he can make for the least risk.

The crazy little mother****er will face anyone ..

Just a year ago, who would have thought in a million years that Manny Pac would be facing Miguel Cotto?

Defo has held boxing down in the last few years.
But to say "He" is the SINGLE best thing to happen to boxing in years is not true.
    (Many factors)

:good exactly bro.. everybody wants him to fight at 147 lbs when the only reason he fought at that weight was because delahoya and him agree to meet at welterweight limit. Since it would be unfair for manny to fight oscar at 154 both of them agree to fight at 147.

exacty. i can't really understand where all these stupid critics are coming from.

he fought the best available competition, despite nallege claims that he avoided black fighters.

he wins his fights in convincing fashion except the JMM fights. He is courteous and respectful to his opponents. trains as hard as top caliber fighter there is.

he has converted a lot of boxing fans. but being the top dog nowadays can be tough. but then again, no statue has been erected to honor a critic.

i say lets enjoy the moment since pac will not fight forever. in the same manner MJ did not play forever. nor tiger woods nor roger federer.

respect. its something pac has earned in so many hearts of fans.

I agree there are many factors to include the wide array of talent in those divisions at the moment, without that the Pac marketing machine is not as effective.

Agreed! His accomplishments says it all . To remain humble after everything he has done simply boggles the mind. My mind at least.

The whole "DLH fought at 147, so why not Cotto" argument is garbage because DLH was fighting at 154. These idiots expect Manny, who had just fought at 135 for the first time, to move up almost 20 pounds to fight Oscar.

But again, their opinions don't really matter in Canastota.

when pac retires, i think we will have a slew of good fighters who will take up the mantle.

juanma might be a good choice to take the p4p1 or paul williams. but they need to get the right combination of skills, charisma, character and fighting heart to achieve what pac has done, what srl has done, what oscar has done. these 3 fighters i consider as crossover stars in their own right.

lets just enjoy the ride people. too much hating can be bad for your health. sometimes, haters can just be too much which makes the over all quality of the boards dip.

with posters claiming that Pac is same size as PBF or that Pac should fight mosley/cotto/PBF at 147 to cement his legacy, i am sometimes beginning to question the over all intelligence level of this board, or is the judgement just clouded by the hate.

but yes i think he is the most exciting boxer out there......if we had a manny p in all the divisons boxing would be like the nba or nfl in popularity....

He brought the sport to a whole new light. Hard work can lead to the elite level. I doubted him early on because of his awkward style then but the improvement was just too much for me to deny him credit.

Cotto beats him before that happens and he then fights Victor Ortiz as a comeback fight and his career is subsequently ended

    thanks for the memories pacman:happy
