Nahh we are seeing the worst of Canelo, he's well past his prime. Movement is gone, prime Canelo was a badass. Crawford hasn't fought enough at the higher divisions for me to give him the benefit of the doubt one fight didn't do it for me, though i was impressed with how comprehensively he beat Canelo. Nobody not even Floyd got him looking like that clearly he's lost his way. Highly doubt prime Crawford beats prime GGG even at 160, he didn't fight enough in the higher divisions stayed too long at 147
Something I've reflected on in recent times - something that applies to both Manny and Floyd - is that the welterweight division around that time was pretty lukewarm, mostly comprised of guys who came up in weight, or two, or three. It flattered Manny and was complicit in the illusion that he became that much better. Almost no good, tall jabbers. Check the division ten years earlier with a prime Oscar, Quartey and Trinidad. It's why the whole 8-division shindig is overblown, in historical terms. There is no criteria in which Manny could rate above the likes of Langford or Greb, as was the case in Rummy's latest vid.
Never understood the quick turnaround that people have with the Pac-ODLH fight. ODLH himself was the one who selected Pac who had just fought at 135 and saw him as an "easy" fight. Majority of the people picked ODLH due to the size advantage. But because Pac managed to shock everyone with his performance the win is all of a sudden written off. Yes its true that ODLH hadn't fought at 147 for a long time and the weight loss in that fight did affect his performance but he himself made that conscious decision to pick on the smaller guy and fight down to that weight in hopes to make a "comeback" but it ended up backfiring on him. Pacquiao gets credit over the ODLH win much like Antonio Tarver got when he knocked out RJJ and when Andre Ward stopped Chad Dawson.
