:patsch roach has said many times that if anyone from the lower weight classes (namely valero) wants manny, they're going to have to come to welterweight. manny is a welterweight now.

I would like to see Pac never go back to 35, but 40 I believe to be his ideal weight right now. He will never be a full fledged welter for optimum fighting conditions.

I think his ideal career arc should be
    defeat Clottey by KO
defeat Mayweather / Mosley winner by KO
fights two more years at 140 taking on the best
move back up to welter and fight two more fights their vs the best
never consider 54 again, retire and get into politics

It's obviously his most natural weight, and I bet we'd see a much better, fluent fighter there. Problem is the money and fame is at welter... So for his legacy he'll have to fight these bigger guys at a slight size disadvantage.

It's not to make 147. I don't know if you've ever worked out before, but it's best to eat 5-6 times a day to keep your metabolism up to begin with.

How do you know if he's loading up? Since he walks around at 150 I doubt he loading up on food. He might be loading up on something else though.

Now you guys are DEFENDING him dropping to 140? Now that everything will be settled at 147 he will have nowhere to go but to FMJ. Now he wants to go back to 140? How convenient!

    The nonsense never stops!

LOL only Pacquiao could get discredited for thinking of fighting guys his own size.

I would like to see that fight too.... but not INSTEAD of a FMJ or SSM fight.... Pac can fight the winner of that fight then be happy that he fought the no1 guy at WW win or lose.... then drop to 140 & give us those fights, I would be up for that but Im not up for Pac going to 140 without fighting the FMJ-SSM winner, that would be a depressing move IMHO for fans in general, hardcore & casual.

Nobody is faulting him for that. He is faulted for going up in weight, forcing guys to meet him at catch weights, ducking criticism by saying "now I am a welter", and then when a Mayweather (or Mosley) fight is imminent going back down to LW.

If he doesn't want to fight at WW, OK. Retire. Don't duck out of the fight of this generation then duck out of the division!

Again...he's only fought one fight at a catchweight...btw the first few sentences of ur post could be used to describe Mayweather.
