How would Pac had done against a prime version of De La Hoya? Same result or would Oscar have had an answer to manny's furious attack? 12 Rounds.

Oscar wasn't prime at 135, was a bit raw and drained at the weight. Pacman would always give him problems even at 147 because Delahoya struggles against faster fighters. At 135 Oscar might get stopped or lose a UD, due to being pre-prime and tight at the weight

Hoya was a bit chinny at this weight. While Hoya is fast and strong, the bombs Pac absorbed from Marquez lead me to believe he is at an advantage in a war.

I would make Hoya a favorite at 147, about ten years ago. Pac is not a welterweight, and although Pac is a better fighter p4p, the best Oscar beats the best Pac at 147, imo.

I'd be more worried about how hurt Pac was against Marquez than how hurt Oscar has been at the weight. If Oscar gets him in that situation he will finish proceedings - green or not.

Agreed Oscar can finish it, but i still pick Pacquiao. Maybe for the wrong reasons, i just think Pacquiao is better and greater and sometimes that can make a difference when it logically shouldn't.

Styles make fights. Pacquiao's frenetic, hard-punching and quick-fisted could be counted on to short-circuit De La Hoya's deliberate, technically unimaginative style.

He would not only short-circuit Oscar's style, he would also disrupt Oscar's strategy and make him exceedingly uncomfortable and confused.

A quick change of topic, Stonehands. How do you see Mayweather-Marquez shaping-up?

I haven't decided yet, but am moving towards throwing a bunch of money on Marquez.

It's a dangerous choice for Floyd. Floyd being Floyd looks for low risk glory and he sees in Marquez a small man. And he's right. And Marquez didn't look so formidable before the KO his last time out. To be sure, it was a heroic performance in the Gattie mold, but that Marquez ain't beating Floyd.

Marquez is great. I think he's greater than Floyd, to be perfectly honest. He knows what he needs to do to win; if he can call up one more great performance, he can do it.
