You think Spence is better than Marquez was?

What makes you think that a 2010 version of Pac does better against Spence than a 2015 version of Pac did against Mayweather?

 

I think Spence matches up physically better with Pac than Marquez but I was commenting about that version of Pac doing better against the Mayweather that fought Marquez.

 

True but then it's a complete different matchup and not very comparable. Marquez' physicality is not what troubled Pac.

Also I don't get how you think 2016 Spence is a more difficult opponent than 2015 Mayweather. Or that 2009 Pac isn't better than 2015 Pac.

 

Who is to say that Spence's physical advantages wouldn't trouble Pac and where did I say that Spence would be a more difficult opponent than Mayweather?

 

Pac moved up from 135 to fight a guy who had fought at MW. He had absolutely no right to win that fight against DLH and did so in spectacular fashion. Less than a year before the DLH fight he was fighting at 130 and within a very short time frame moved up and absolutely steam-rollered the welterweight division. The guy could have stayed at the lower weights having already won titles at 6 different weight-classes, but he chose to be great and despite being the smallest WW ever handled the guys no problem.

His achievements were not matched by anyone in the era, and probably won't be for a very long time.

No doubt he was passed his sell-by date, but don't play it off like it wasn't an amazing performance for someone who had moved up 3-weight classes in a year. Definitely not easy like you say.

 

So Hearns would get punished from pressuring Pac? It all depends on who is supplying the pressure.

 

Oscar was done. lol Pac even outweighed him in the ring. Only extreme Pac fans try to make that win more than it was.

If you don't think a guy who moved up from 130 to fight a guy who twice fought at 160 is an amazing feat, past his best or not, then I'm not sure what to say.
