How would a fight between Manny Pacquiao against Jimmy Wilde have turned out at Flyweight (with Wilde in his physical prime) in terms of styles, skills and power? In your opinion how would the fight have turned out? :?

Wilde was a significantly better fighter than Manny at flyweight, Manny was only a kid. Jimmy would have beat his ass.

Thats one of the most overrated wins ever,Wilde hadnt fought in two years and was clearly past his prime when he lost to Villa.

manny was 120 pounds at fight night...wilde was 105 pounds...

better match up would be lopez vs wilde as they are almost in the same weight

Good post. Wilde fought at Fly because there wasn't a lower weight at the time, he could easily make light Fly.

Pacquiao wasn't the fighter he is now. He was pretty one dimensional and vulnerable himself at this stage. Certainly not the complete fighter and physical beast he is now, he was a little kid.

I don't know how we can even comprehend a fight like this. Wilde began fighting 100 years ago.

Manny also did have good power back in 112.

    Dec 1998
    WBC/Lineal 112 title
champ: Chatchai Sasakul (33-1-0) 23 KO wins
    Thailand

    Round 8

There were a lot more of Pac 112 lbs. fight vids on youtube before, but I think they've deleted those now.

I havent seen a lot of Jimmy Wilde film footage to give a good opinion about their fantasy match up, but I'm sure that young Pac's punching power at 112 is to be respected.

Manny's record at flyweight was (26-2-0) 2 KO loss, 18 KO wins.
