Hear me out for a second.

A lot of people say that manny pacquiao is washed up/aged/faded and whatever else but I don't agree and I never have agreed. When he first came to 147 he may have looked a lot more dynamic but I personally think that any "slippage" is due to the fact that fighters know what to expect from manny and the so called "blueprint" for NOT GETTING DESTROYED is out there for anyone to see.

since pacman joined 147 he has fought: ODLH, Hatton, Cotto, Clottey, Margarito, Mosley, JMM, Bradley, JMM, Rios, Bradley in that order.

I think the mosley fight marked the day that people started respceting pacquiao for what he is and not going into the ring thinking "he's the little guy". I remember Nazim saying that they gave away the blueprint for free and didn't even use it either in the fight or post fight and since that fight pacquiaos opponents have fought a bit differently.

Obviously he's got more miles on him than when he first fought ODLH but I never bought him being as over the hill as peopel have made him out to be.

Just for any diks that want to **** on the thread due to my predictions, i called bradley knockout. I knew he was going to go for it but I over estimated his ability to land a clean punch. I always knew his accuracy was terrible but I forgot how terrible due to his last few fights.

ii said t/ko and you can't even really discredit it when bradley clearly tried to TKO pacquiao. It's not like he was on the back leg the hwole night. Dude went for the knock out.

    And failed. Miserably.
    God awful MISERABLY.

That's is all the reason you need to discredit somebody who claimed "Bradley was gonna KO Pac".
It's like saying Pac is gonna KO JMM in Pac vs JMM 3 then Pac got a schooling of a lifetime. Of course you are gonna get your ass handed to you for such claims.

I swear logic and reasoning is a rare quality among posters in these boards.:patsch

part of your assessment is right but the reality is any mover gives any fighter problems or increases the chances of a fight going the distance. Pacquiao just isnt good as he once was but still able to beat "good" fighters.

    I wouldn'y say he's exposed whatsoever.

he is an aging fighter though, there's no question about that. He doesn't have the footwork, handspeed or sharpness that he had back in 2009-2010. He's not a pure boxer, so his style isn't going to "age" well in his latter pro years compared to pure boxers like FLoyd or Rigo.

He's still a helluva fighter though and in my eyes one of the top 3 P4P in the sport. But it's clear as day he's not the same guy he was just a few years ago. But that's to be expected, he's 35 already and has been in a couple wars in his career.

I agree with these two assessments perfectly. I just think all of the "pacquiao is over the hill talk" is grossly over stated. I think people know what to expect from pacquiao and how to avoid it but theres only one guy that can actually take advantage of that and his name is JMM

Maybe floyd can but we will never know until they fight.

not really...... bradley tried to knock him out. My prediction of bradleys game plan was spot on. The outcome wasn't your making it out to be more than it is.

Part of the reason JMM and just recently Bradley have had some success with Pac is because they are willing to have the balls to fight him too not just merely try to box him. You need that combination of attributes to beat Pac. There was a point in Pac's career where i knew Mayweather was going to need more than his boxing ability to beat Pac, now im not so sure.

One thing I'll say is if JMM is Pacman's kryptonite, than Floyd would be his gream reaper.

FLoyd is ten times the fighter that JMM is, and I'm one of the biggest Marquez fans on this forum (it sucked to watch them fight a few years ago when they were my 2 favorite fighters in the sport.)

There's nothing that JMM does better than FLoyd, he's essentially a smaller, diluted version of him who isn't as sharp with his punches/counterpunches and doesn't possess 1/10th of the defensive skills of FLoyd.

JMM gave Manny hell for 4 fights, there's no doubt in my mind FLoyd would have his way with Pacman. Too big, too fast, too sharp, too slick, too elite defensively.

    He is like what? 35.

He has over 50 HARD fights.
And was Viciously KO two fights ago....I would say he's aged.
