Thru 1999 he was 27-2 (18KO) overall, 2-1 (2) in Flyweight World title fights, and 21 years old.

Since that time he has gone 29-3-2 (20) overall and 20-2-2 (12) in World title fights at JFW, FW, JLW, LW, JWW, WW, and JMW. His World title fight record is now 22-3-2 (14) and 8 division world Champ!

He is a 2x "Ring" World Champ at JLW with his wins over Barrera (KO11) and then Morales (KO10). He is also a former "Ring" World Champ at JWW with his win over Hatton (KO2).

His losses during the last 14 years have been to Morales L12 (who he went 2-1 (2) against lifetime), Timothy Bradley L12 (which was total bull**** and later avenged), and Juan Marquez (who he has gone 2-1-1 against lifetime).

His draw to Marquez could have been a win but his wins over Marquez could have been draws... one of them could have even been a win for Marquez. These two match up very well.

I wish he would have fought Augie Sanchez again. The fight ended half way thru the 6th round due to an accidental headbutt, the fight was even at the time (Technical Draw). Sanchez was a lowblowing and headbutting machine that night and kept his WBO JFW belt, Pacquiao kept his IBF JFW belt.

His best performances during this stretch have been-

KO11 Barrera, D12 Marquez, L12 Morales, KO10 Morales, KO3 Morales, W12 Barrera, W12 Marquez, KO8 DeLaHoya, KO2 Hatton, KO12 Cotto, W12 Clottey, W12 Margarito, W12 Mosley, W12 Marquez (regardless of who you think won), L12 Bradley, W12 Rios, and W12 Bradley... yes, 2 of his losses are listed.

So, how does this compare to that other guy people always talk about? Where do they both stand now?

Mayweather was 22-0 (17) thru 1999 and 22 years old (almost 23). He was 5-0 (4) in World title fights and was the reigning "Ring" JLW World Champ.

Since that time he has gone 24-0 (9) overall and 20-0 (6) in World title fights at JLW, LW, JWW, WW, and JMW. 25-0 (10) in World title fights overall.

His best wins have been KO10 Corrales, W12 x2 Castillo (regardless of who you think won their first fight), W12 Judah, W12 DeLaHoya (regardless of who you think won), KO10 Hatton, W12 Marquez, W12 Mosley, W12 Cotto, W12 Alvarez, and W12 Maidan (regardless of who you think won)

Both men are great, no doubt in my mind.

    They have some common opponents-

    Mosley-
Both beat him by clear 12 round decision. Pacquiao dropped him and Mosley got credit for a knockdown but shouldn't have. Mosley had Mayweather hurt in the 3rd round of their fight. I'd rather have Pacquiao's win over Mosley.

    Hatton-
Pacquiao KO2, Mayweather KO10. Pac again.

    DeLaHoya-
Mayweather W12 in a close fight that could have been a draw or even a win for DeLaHoya. Pacquiao KO8. Pac again.

    Cotto-
Pacquiao KO12, Mayweather W12 in a competitive fight. Pac again.

    Marquez-
Mayweather clearly beat Marquez who came up to fight Mayweather at 147 Lbs. Marquez had only 2 fights over 130 at this point and they were at 135, never fought at 140 or 147 before. He handles the weight much better now. Mayweather still gets the nod though, for obvious reasons.

Who do you all think has had the better career, and who should be considered the better fighter H2H right now?

Why don't you just come out and say you're a *******? Your long winded thread is about 20 paragraphs too long. You're a ******* we get it.

Outside of Marquez. Floyd beat better versions of all their mutual opponents. All coming off of career wins, or at least wins.

Also, Floyd BEAT SHANE UP. Pac didn't do that. Pac knocked him down, and the rest of the fight was uneventful

Barring those beautiful shots from Shane in the 2nd round. Floyd had Shane looking like he was ready to go.

I'd rather have floyds record tbh. He hasn't lost and no matter what people say he's fought top level guys. The big problem for me is you don't mention when both took on their opponents, floyd tends to fight guys when there on a winning streak or coming off career best wins. Pacquiao fights alot of guys when theyv already been beat or took a major beating/ko'd by somebody else. This discredits some of his wins for me.

For me pacquiao probably has the better resume on paper but i think if floyd remains unbeaten history will remember him more.

I agree, i think floyd did a better job on shane. Evem roach criticized manny for his constant touching gloves lol

why did you leave off that most of those 'impressive' Pacquiao wins were disgraceful catchweight fights? :huh

Pac fought better opposition, without a doubt, but Mayweather all around looks much less vulnerable.

In the grand scheme of things, their lifetime achievement rankings will depend on what is more important: willingness to fight the best, with an occasional loss (Pac literally fought the who's who of 7 out of the 8 divisions he fought at), or fighting select opposition (good, sometimes very good, never stellar) and maintaining an unbeaten record.

Floyd needed Kostya Tszyu, he needed Pac in 2009, he needed to chase them like he chased Mosley (that came up with a bs excuse as to why he wouldn't fight floyd back when shane and floyd were both prime).

Did you see the women he hung out with? I wouldn't doubt most of them needed some discipline.

Besides, the guy is hardly a monster. That word should be reserved for child molesters and politicians.

If everything you say is true, what do you call murderers, ******, terrorist, and child molesters? You put Floyd Mayweather in the same category as those people? I guess nobody on this forum fought with their girl and said stuff that they didn't mean.. Not condoning it though.. I'm just saying that it happens...
