The things they did, the things they got away with, the way they were coddled. These two guys have been absoloutely terrible for boxing.

These two guys were the face of boxing and got paid a ridiculous amount of money for being it, yet these two guys disrespected and trashed the sport more than any other P4P Kings...

From avoiding random testing, to sucker-punching fighters, to picking on shot fighters, to avoiding the best possible fights to avoiding each other for 6 years, to being part of Boxing's Cold War, to being a bad image by going to jail, beating women, threatening kids, to punching fighters while they were already with their back on the canvas, to using shady methods for something (likely mask PEDs) a night before a fight, etc...

These two clowns can't even read FFS!!!! Arum and Haymon exploited them, and scammed the public.

Good riddance when they are gone.

Agreed. They're both low life con artists.

    Good riddance, indeed!

This thread is for those of us who are not bias towards any one fighter, but tired of their sheninnigans.

If you want to defend Pac, or someone wants to defend Floyd, there are plenty of threads for that.

Here we want to express our frustruation with how boxing has scammed the public with these two guys...

I have to agree for the most part, can't wait until they're retired. Two legends and ATG's nonetheless but they need to go.

    Let's see,

Manny is promoted by Top Rank, part of the Cold War
Manny (or Team Pacquiao) walked awy from negotiations
Manny (or Tem Pacquiao) twice were on record of not reading or signing legal documents that hindered him in fights.

Manny ducking random testing in 2009 was disgraceful.

    1. Feasted on shot fighters
    2. Weightdrained the life out of opponents
    3. Skipped the then stacked lightweight division after taking on by far the weakest champ
    4. Only rematched JMM when he looked shot v Mayweather (lost handily but had the judges in his pocket)
    5. Refusal for random testing stopped the Mayweather fight happening when everyone wanted it
    6. Got EVERYTHING his way in EVERY fight other than Mayweather
    7. Gifted belts for beating guys he drained below the belts weight

Not even gonna go into his out of ring exploits

Pacquiao was every bit as much a cancer to the sport as Mayweather

No. But valid questions do exist regarding both of their accomplishments, regardless of their natural talents.

I understand but these 2 guys have kept the sport alive and broke records sure they are not perfect but who is?

They are so good that even the top prime fighters in their division can't force them out they are still here because of dominance and the inability of the other fighters to take control.

most atg fighters did their share of undue advantage being a-side on negotiating fights because of money. money is what makes the sport corrupt but saying that floyd and pac are on the same footing of wrong doing is not fair. floyd was caught with unreasonable and unacceptable fact of cheating while pac was never caught with any wrong doing but just implicated by the cheats during a failed negotiation where it is not even proven if the opponent really wanted the fight for numerous goal post moving. pac was just systematically being destroyed because he is not american and the americans have much influence on the boxing web's promotion and demotion of fighters. pac was just not lucky for being in the era where floyd played but it does not mean he played like floyd.

I agree. Tho it's great to see fighters take reigns and better hold of their careers where they aren't taken advantage of, now it seems they have too much power. Now unfortunately it's them taking advantage of that power.

Except of course when he also roided and nearly killed someone in the ring.
