from glass chins to glass bodies :rofl:rofl but that was a teen-aged malnourished pacman. no 17 year-olds should be taking those kind of punches from older men
Thats what I was gonna say, but also that left hook upstairs will be dangerous against Pacquiao southpaw stance
Lol left hooks are terrible against southpaws, generally speaking. Right straights where the money is.
Pac did indeed get a little worried by the glancing straight right hatton hit him with. Pacs shots and speed worry his opponents far more though!
if cotto can time paquiao like he did whit judha its going to be a long night for paquiao but for that to happen cotto needs to be 100% mentaly ready to batle
All I noticed is at one point Hatton had him against the ropes I can't recall what if anything landed clean but when Pac got out of there he threw his hands up in the air which I was lead to believe he does from time to time when he's been hurt to try and show that he is still in high spirits.
One thing that we have seen consistently is that Cotto has been able to time and land on everyone, regardless of how speedy or how good their defense is (Mosley, Clottey, Judah).... Cotto's issues have never been his offense, if any, is his defense.
Slow down buddy. This is the sweet science. The straight right is a very good punch against a southpaw at a distance. In close the left hook is a blind side punch that can be very effective. I tell you what. You stand righty; Get someone to stand lefty and you will see what I mean. It's the short punch that will get there the quickest. The same goes for the right hook on a righty from a lefty. It's like fighting a mirror.
Tell that to Carlos Quintana. That was Cottos money punch in that fight and the one that dropped him looked as if Quintana got stabbed.
I'm a bit concerned about the potential effectiveness of Cotto's jab. I think if Cotto has any kind of success with his jab to setup his offense, it could spell for a disastrous evening for Pac.
Cottos jab is key as well as his good timing. I hope he doesnt try to overpower him though. DLH and Hatton thought power was the answer but it aint. Cotto has to be patient at first.
